Roadmap

Irmantas edited this page Feb 8, 2017 · 6 revisions

How does one contribute to the future of ADOP/C without knowing the vision, strategic goals and a theme of what is yet to come? Answer is: with a great difficulty.

ADOP/C Roadmap shows you of what to expect in the future, it will help you to focus your effort on topics that are of topmost priority to the ADOP community. Roadmap is a living document rather than a set in stone, it will be regularly discussed, reviewed, updated and shared with the community to assure to-the-point deliverables.

Roadmap is updated every 2-3 months (aim is to update once a month) by project maintainers and any changes are approved by roadmap approvers listed in the Project Roster page.

We are thrilled about the volume of PRs and Issues raised by the community and we do regret the current age of some of them. However, this is where roadmap will come into play, we will be using it to structure catching up!

How do I get my PRs/Issues included on the roadmap?

Raising PR or Issue and it being discussed by the project maintainers and roadmap approvers listed in the Project Roster page will determine if PR/Issue gets elected to the roadmap.

Why is my PR/Issue not listed?

It's most likely because your PR/Issue is yet to be reviewed or the project maintainers need to contact you about it (and if we haven't, feel free to remind us!). Bug fixes, minor tweaks or documentation updates may not always feature on the roadmap list however it doesn't mean that they will not be included in milestones to be released.

Any questions?
