Since for some tasks it makes sense to have a single chunk each day, the user should have the option to specify if that is the case.

I'm not sure how to go about implementing this. The first idea that comes to mind is adding an effort "penalty" for each successive chunk on a single day. The "penalty" would be customizable in settings.
