Additions to wlr-taskbar module

Apologies if this is a duplicate, but I'm wondering if there is a way to automatically reduce the length of the title in the wlr/taskbar module, as if I have too many windows, the list just infinitely expands offscreen.
What I would like:

• An option for "wlr/taskbar" which dynamically reduces title length as more windows are opened. (Of course, the user could set a maximum width for the text so it doesn't get out of control). If the user has enough apps, the titles will cease to appear without a hover to preserve space.
• If the taskbar overflows, allow the user to scroll with their mouse to reveal hidden items.
