The following chapters have the wrong chapter number in their metadata:

  • LXX
    - Psalm 151
    - most chapters of Jeremiah above ch 26(?), tags offset by seven.
    - Exodus 37-39
    - Num 26*
    - 1Sa 11
    - Pro 15
    - Nah 2*
  • LXX & BHS
    - Gen 32*
    - Eze 21*
    - Num 17*
    - Deu 13*, 23*
    - 1Sa 21*
    - 2Ki 12*
    - 2Sa 19*
    - 1Ki 5*
    - Hos 2*, 12*
    - Zec 2*
    - Dan 6*
    - Neh 10*
    - Son 7*
    - Joe 2
  • LXX, BHS, VG
    - Num 30*
    - 1Sa 24*
    - Hos 14*
    - Jon 2*
  • VG
    - Num 13
    - Dan 13-14
    - Ecc 7
    - Jdt 16
    - Hag 2

After researching the differences in versification between English, Hebrew, and Greek, I updated the following on the list above:

  • Crossed-out entries are due to different arrangements of chapters. (I had no idea LXX and BHS Jeremiah were so different!)
  • Asterisks indicate the metadata may have been wrong because there also occurs a slight offset in chapter cutoff between English and Hebrew, or Hebrew and Greek.

All other non-annotated entries don't have an accompanying explanation for why they are incorrect.

Many thanks for the time and effort you are putting in helping us.
I will have to take time to double check all of these.
I wonder whether it's a script mistake on my side, or some mistakes that already existed in my source.
LXX, BHS and VG are all scrapped and processed from unbound bible files.
The differences between hebrew and LXX numberings is definitely a big challenge !
I have to admit that as of now, all our work was quick and dirty, the idea was to validate (if not "prototype") the fact that serious studies could be conducted, from notes to bible quotation (verse by verse) to LaTeX /pdf export with Obsidian.
It has been a great success, but now we need to iron things up !

Again, thanks for all the hard work you put into this! The proof of concept was great, and you were a very deserving winner of the Obsidian October best Demo Vault (congrats, by the way!). You have really helped me right at the time I was trying to figure some of this out myself. I've been working to integrate this into my own working Bible study system (a "production environment" of sorts), so of course I've encountered all the bugs and fringe cases. 😆

I'm definitely sorry for that ! Many thanks for your kind words and I'm very glad if that helped.
I have a 5 kids family and 2 companies to run, this is a tiny-time job !
I will process all your requests for sure, one day...
Meanwhile, feel free to modify my scripts
