There is a noticeable lag when navigating to the search page and interacting with the list of results

I just corroborated that this happens. Can you investigate @kennedylinzie ? This didn't use to happen before so it has come on the latest PR merge.

Additionally the keyboard stays on when you go back from the search page to home (will add as separate issue)
