☕️🥷💡Opening this as a workitem for enabling the eslinter for this repo, under #21 - we have updated very old packages for this repo to avoid vulnerabilities et. al.

Intent of this workitem is to make sure once the other PR is merged we do ground up work for the aslant enabling for this repo. This issue can also be a reminder as to keeping things in mind since tslint was deprecated.

It could be a possibility that there might be many listing error given this is ported repo in that case we can decide how to improve in smaller chunks.
