Our citation.cff file (doc here) could benefit from being automatically updated whenever we make a new release.

It has been done there, and is discussed there. There is some package for R to do that .

There are also some actions related to cff, but none of them (as far as I can tell) can update the file (they just check it).

Our best bet is probably to ask maven to take care of it, actually.
