[14.1][KLTE][SM-G900W8] Screen unlock / low brightness flicker [video included]

is anyone experiencing screen flicker on low brightness setting and issues with screen coming on upon unlock?

screen stays black while soft keys light. sometimes works after few relocks other times takes 10 mins to get screen back.

issue was not present on cm13.

I experienced it too in [14.1][KLTE][SM-G900F]. I did clean flash but the issue still persist.

First of all this is not the official bug tracker so probably nobody will ever care about issues reported here.

If I recall correctly this is a known bug and it was addressed here and than got reverted later on as it turned out to be an hardware issue. So the fix is not to lower your brightness too much since your screen cannot deal with these levels.

its not a hardware issue, it was not present in cm13 and was not present when i rolled back to cm 13

also im more worried about the wake lock issue than the low brightness flicker

which version of cm13 did you rollback? it would have to be before that minimum brightness change happened (it was never reverted in 13)

i first heard someone mention a flicker almost a year ago, also an F user (seems at least F specific, T is fine for example)
