If you have a passion for teaching media, you can train as a media studies teacher. However, since media studies is not part of the national curriculum, schools often prefer to hire teachers who can also teach another subject, such as English.
As a media studies teacher, you’ll inspire pupils to critically engage with the world by exploring a diverse range of media forms. You’ll empower them to understand how media shapes and targets audiences while equipping them with the skills to produce their own creative media content.
While there is no bursary or scholarship for trainee media studies teachers, you may be eligible for tuition fee and maintenance loans.
