Screen effects causing black screen

It seems that some mods that cause screen effects, when used alongside this mod can cause issues.

The Katana weapons from this mod allow your character to teleport attack into enemies by holding right click. When charging it up, the screen darkens slightly on the top and bottom. This screen darkening, when used alongside Damage tint, causes the entire screen to black out so you can't see anything.
