Describe the bug
Please provide a clear and detailed description of what the bug is.

GNS3 version and operating system (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 11 24H2, GNS3 GUI application 3.0.1
  • GNS3 version: 3.0.1
  • Any use of the GNS3 VM or remote server: GNS3-VM running on Proxmox (OVA of 3.0.1)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to File > New Template
  2. Switches > Arista vEOS, Install Appliance on the Main Server
  3. Create new version, enter version number
  4. Select the image name for Aboot
  5. Enter the custom image name already on the GNS3 VM (vEOS64-lab-4.33.0F.qcow2)
  6. Select the new version
  7. Click Next, then I see the error attached below
  8. This issue happens with both custom versions of vEOS and Nexus 9K images

Screenshots or videos
Arista VEOS
Nexus9K

Additional context
This is a brand new install of the GNS3 VM using the OVA for ESXI and importing that into Proxmox 8.3.2

I am able to add images for ones that GNS3 is aware of but not any custom image versions, due to the error

Fixed the issue it seems that the images where not in the Image Management tool and I had to add them manually even though GNS3 showed the images already present on the server when doing a custom template.

This bug has been fixed. It will work in v3.0.2, to be released soon.
