Looking to make break channel. Would an SMW inspired one be allowed?

Hi! I'm interested in making and submitting a break channel. I have an idea for a Super Mario World inspired one. I'm aware that the official guidelines say we cannot use assets from 1st party Nintendo games. I'm wondering if I could use assets from Chinese SMW instead? If that's not possible could I make my own assets, change some of the trademark things of Mario, and submit it? I completely understand if that's not possible due to Nintendo being (in my opinion) overly strict with their IP. Thank you!
