How is this different to Resharoer's standard Live Templates, where, e.g. I just type 'pps' for a public string auto-property? All I enter is the property name.

These are just Live Templates, but there are more of them than the ones that comes with ReSharper - more types for public properties, options for public, internal, private, etc. Methods instead of properties and so on. The idea is just to make it easier and quicker to create the boilerplate code using a string that's guessable and easy to remember.
