Describe the bug
Nothing was downloading. In the logs it gives "Error: HTTP error while getting video: Response status code does not indicate success: 403 (Forbidden)".

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Installed latest build v1.3.4
  2. Download options: Mass Download from text file link
  3. Uploaded text file with links to each tiktok video
    4.Clicked Download

Expected behavior
It should download the videos into the TiktokDownloads folder. It worked perfectly fine a few days ago

Screenshots

It was like this every time I tried downloading (it would just stay like that) I tried repeating it several times after, but alas it still wouldn't download

Here is how the text file I imported looked

Hey @danylo8,
The links in your text file are not supported because of the "v" in the URL (www.tiktok**v**.com). If you remove the "v" from all the links, it should work just fine.

@Jettcodey
I am receiving the same error even without the "v" in the link. Attached is the logs and the two txt files I attempted to use to download. I can use the HD download option but it does not download photos/slideshows.

@ChumsBuckets, I can download your attached TXT files just fine, as you can see here:

It could be that your IP address is blocked. Try using a VPN if possible, or change your public IP address via your Internet Router/modem by either accessing the settings or unplugging and replugging your Internet Router/Modem.

@Jettcodey Would that affect me even though I am able to download the videos with the "HD Download From Text File Links" but not the "Mass Download from Text File Links"? If the "Mass Download from Text File Links" doesn't download slideshows/photos either I'll be fine with the HD download but I was hoping to download the slideshows as well.

@ChumsBuckets yes since for the HD Download the Downloader uses a Third-Party Api not TikTok´s

I think I am having the same issue? I did the HD Downloader first and it would show line by line the items it downloaded. However, trying the standard method to include photos. I have a progression bar but no sort of status update below, like was showing previously when doing the HD method

@Sara-Goose Yes, sadly it seems like you're one of the unlucky users. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do. Sorry.

The only things you could try, but there is no guarantee that they will fix the issue:

  • Try using a VPN, if possible.
  • Change your public IP address (via your Internet router/modem by either accessing the settings or unplugging and replugging your Internet router/modem).

Update. The api was in fact blocking ips. Using a vpn worked.
