I just received the DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment, and it's a nifty little add-on that doesn't change anything tha the controller reports back to the system, and each additional grip button can be mapped to any button.
Now if the additional buttons are mapped to L2 and or R2, when pressed they report instant max trigger press, which isn't physically possible to do, since when pressing an actual trigger, it would have to go through multiple values to reach the highest (255?)
Could this be exploited to add additional mappings? Since if L3/R3 is pressed to 255 instantly, then it means the shoulder button mapped to it were pressed, not the triggers themselves?
I understand this polling would add input latency to those buttons.
