Target for href tag is changed from _blank to _parent....

Hi,

I am using SP Portfolio 1.2 component and module that came as part of the template I purchased through another supplier.

What I am finding is that when I edit the content of the portfolio item and create a link to open in a new window, the HTML is correct with a target of "_blank" viz:

but when the page is rendered in the front end the target has changed to "_parent" viz:

Any ideas on a fix?
