2. Code Build
3. Code Deploy
4. Code Pipeline
5. Cloud Formation
1 Project
DevOps on Cloud
----------------------------
DevOps Tools: Git, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform
=> Just like the devops tools available outside of the aws cloud, we have some services in the AWS cloud which are related to DevOps.
=> Some of the DevOps tools that are available in the aws cloud are;
1. Code Commit -------> Git and GitHub
2. Code Build --------> Maven
3. Code Deploy --------> Jenkins
4. Code Pipeline --------> Jenkins
5. Cloud Formation --------> Terraform
=> All the above services are limited to only AWS Cloud
=> All the above services will work as pay-as-you-use basis
=> The above services are listed as AWS Developer Tools
---------------------
Code Commit
---------------------
Developers ---> Write the code ----> Testing ----> Code availability ----> Pull the code ----> Create the infrastructure ---> Deploy the code ----> Maintenance
=> Code commit is something that is useful to store the source code of the application.
=> Code Commit is serverless service
Disadvantages:
1. It is not flexible with other cloud service providers like GCP, Azure....
2. It is not having multiple options (limitations)
Install AWS CLI
Windows: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/userguide/getting-started-install.html
VS Code Editor
AWS Code Commit Workflow
------------------------------------
1. Create (empty) Repository
2. Clone the repo into the local system
3. Create a file with some content inside it
4. Push the changes to repo.
Note: Code Commit is a region specific service
By default, whatever repo that we create in the code commit service, they are all private repo
Cloud Formation
-------------------------------
=> CF is an infrastructure creation tool in an automated way.
=> In the CF, we will write CF Templates
=> CF is AWS limited service
=> Advanced tool for CF is Terraform
=> In order to write the terraform templates, we will use YAML language
=> YAML ---> Yet Another Markup Language
