I can send a friend an email without knowing their email address.

About email: what server is responsible to send emails? The central server? Community nodes? I think, it costs some money and/or has some quota limits

I think nodes will send messages. Which means people need to add sendgrid keys to their config and spend $$.

I will add this to cost estimator.

You will try to control costs by looking at this:

And if costs are going to be too high you can lock or delete your node.

Maybe we also can limit emails to a summary every day, rather than instant alerts for each tag?

Your daily email could be a daily summary of the activity stream for that day.

I forgot one detail - a node dosn't know user emails, it knows only its admin email. So a node can send only emails to its admin, and only central server can send emails (invites, notifications) to users
