No module named 'mariadb'

Doing an upgrade and everything is gone well until doing the last part of updating the database.

When using the command: py -3 dbtool.py update
The following is displayed: (I did do the suggested pip install --upgrade -r requirements.txt)
ERROR: Exception occured while importing external dependencies:
No module named 'mariadb'
Ensure you've run/re-run the command you use to install python dependencies (ex: pip install --upgrade -r requirements.txt)

I did try reinstalling the marindb python connector again by using pip install --no-cache mariadb but it just tells me all requirements are already installed.

Do you have two differrent versions of python installed?
On windows py, py -3, pip, pip3, python and python3 are all possibly referring to an instance of python2 or python3.

Makes sure you run everything with the same version (for you, probably py -3 -m pip install mariadb, or pip3 install mariadb)

OK, that makes sence @zach2good .

I did recheck the install using pip3 and i am still getting the missing MariaDB module error updating the DB. They all report the requirements are already satified.

So the tool worked back when i first installed this server months ago. I have not installed or updated anything since that time. Only windows updates.

I got it to work now.

I ran this installer instead: py -3 -m pip install -r server/tools/requirements.txt
after running that command< i was able to run the dbtool update>
