Next and Previous buttons hidden when in slideshow mode

Current behaviour

The Next and Previous buttons are shown in slideshow mode. Using them causes the slideshow to behave unexpectedly such as, suddenly the screen becoming black while clicking continuously on the next and previous buttons. It is the same issue when using the arrow buttons on PC and swipe right and left on mobile. This is probably due to slideshow timer not being reset when user performs these actions.

Desired behaviour

In my opinion Next and Previous buttons can be hidden during slideshow mode, this way they won't lead to unexpected user experience and the user can still navigate through the slideshow without waiting for the timer to expire by using the arrow buttons on a PC and swipe right/left on mobile. Triggering of these actions should lead to loading of next/previous photo/video and at the same time, the slideshow timer should reset. This should lead to better user experience in slideshow mode.
