I have never tried removing the speed limit, if i remember correctly there used to be a guy from russia selling an app that could hack the speed limit for various wheels. The last i heard from him was being in a hispital because he fell of a wheel...
I am not sure if it even supported the A1/S1 models. Afaik the speed limit is settable via the app so there seems to be some form of configuration possible. Maybe the corresponding register even allows you to set a higher speed. You should try dumping all registers then changing the max speed using the app, then dumping all registers again and check for differences between the two dumps. Then try to write to the corresponding register. The speed might be set in RPM not in km/h or even something else though.
Hah, It is kinda dangerous indeed. I may set a little bit faster but not too fast. Your suggestion is really seems feasible and I will have a try ! And also, the MCU unlocker is really a good idea, I think Ninebot should officially sale this.
Your work is really cool ! Can I use this tool to hack my ninebot one a1 to disables its speed limit of 20 km/h and change to 30 ? How it works ?
