this plugin sucks the battery so much?

Hello! nice work with this plugin.
I started working with it and,
based on what I know of Android, I know that keeping alive an Activity (even more with a webview inside of it) sucks the user battery a lot!
What I need to know: How much is the difference between an native Service and an cordova app with this plugin?
Could you provide me the measure of how many hours a regular smartphone can hold this?
