Seems like a good project. Someone will be assigned to create a recipe/feedstock in https://github.com/nsls-ii-forge for the project as an exercise to learn conda-smithy: https://nsls-ii-forge.github.io/docs.

Is it being used, or can we just drop it altogether @tacaswell? I've found a lot of recordwhat to be unusably old and broken...

If you don't think it is useful anymore we can drop it, but I think we still want to be able to parse db/dbd files....

I think all recordwhat's grammar definitions of db/dbd are slightly off.

At some point, it might be interesting to base a more complete version on https://github.com/epicsdeb/pypdb , though there's a lot of work there in making it readable/maintainable/user-friendly.
