Incognito mode only allows spanning

Is there anyway to modify the manifest programmatically so if there is an incognito value other than spanning, it will change it? The values "split" and "not-allowed" are valid per MDN, but in practice AMO will block them. I apologize if this is not possible, I am unsure of the limitations placed upon you.

I can hardcode in a change to change the manifest to spanning.
