Best practice regarding DisconnectHandler

I'm asking this question in the full awareness that this is a .NET MAUI topic and has not much to do with Prism. As we all know, DisconnectHandler is not automatically called. MAUI does not do this for you which leads me to following questions:

• What is your strategy regarding DisconnectHandler of custom handlers? When do you call DisconnectHandler?
• When and how am I supposed to call DisconnectHandler if I run INavigationService.GoBackToRootAsync() (which internally calls PopToRootAsync())?
• Is there a generic approach or do I have to implement INavigatedAware on all pages and call DisconnectHandler for all controls used on a particular page?

All hints are welcome. I currently struggle a lot with non-disconnected handlers (which consume memory and have other side effects).
