#846 adds a link to the @RSE_Sheffield@fosstodon.org account and I periodically sign-in and toot/boost things and I've configured it to automatically toot the RSS Feed.

The Twitter account @RSE_Sheffield doesn't see much activity. Should presence be maintained given the X-odus and on-going slide from grace of the platform?

Should an account be opened at BlueSky and if so can it be automated to post the RSS feed?

Can we add RSS feeds for blog posts, Events and newsletters so that tooting on Mastodon/Twitter/BlueSky can be automated? (see #685)

After a decision has been made about all of these aspects the website links should be updated.

Yes, Twitter still has far more users than the other platforms.

Is that not likely to be a historical artifact though?

How many of the users are active/still used given the X-odus? (No way of knowing and the same of such ghost accounts can be said of any other platform).

Would a BlueSky account gain followers?

(Don't expect answers, as these are open-ended and ultimately unanswerable questions).

Most normies, that aren't terminally online, wouldn't even know what Mastodon or Bluesky are.

Are they the target audience though?

I'd imagine those interested in RSE like content would be aware of them and would likely have migrated already.

🤷

Moving the goalposts, but by that standard SocRSE is still active on their twitter and only just setup BlueSky.
