Pair Water pump header to sensor on Asus mobo? #2925

Remi and anyone who finds this thread. I figured it out for my board. Probably basic RTFM somewhere that I missed.

  • I moved the D5 pump speed and sensor connector to a CHASSIS_x header on the mobo.
  • I checked in BIOS that everything was set to PWM but wait there is the prroblem!

On Asus mobo with QFan control, when you set PWM you are enabling QFan in the BIOS (or after boot AiSuite) to mess with the speeds!

  • The correct config is the set all of the fan headers, w_pump, etc to Disabled so QFan will leave them alone! It will boot up like a tornado but once FanControl is running it will put them on the proper curve.

Now I have a nice quite pump running ~130l/h and quiet fans until I start …
