Wave 5 of Bravo gives an all Black screen on old2DS (both screens). Sounds play, buttons work. Homebutton does nothing. So the only option is to hard turn off the Nintendo.

Did you close the 3ds at all or maybe pause the game when it happened?

No. You cannot close a old2DS. Pause would been an option. Not sure.
