I think it is worth exploring, that in case a socialBox function is called with the argument src = NULL (currently the default), then the placeholder for the image is not shown?
Currently, when given the NULL value, the avatar is rendered as an empty circle. A rather bad workaround is to provide an entirely transparent image, in this case, padding of the whole socialBox title is looking weird.
