Let’s do a bug scavenger hunt : using the latest DCA release version. We can do it async as a team and use the DCA demo instance, which is configured with the latest DCA and schematic versions.

@afwillia can point everyone to the DCA demo instance. The main user scenarios we’d like to test are:

  • pick a file-based data type and a dataset with some files but no metadata manifest (can be small dummy txt files); generate a template; fill it in with intensional errors and omissions and check validation output; fill it in w/o errors and submit the metadata

  • pick a file-based data type and a dataset with some files and existing metadata manifest; generate a template; fill it in with intensional errors and omissions and check validation output; fill it in w/o errors and submit the metadata

  • pick a record-based data type (e.g. clinical or biospecimen data type) w/o pre-existing manifest generate a template; fill it in with intensional errors and omissions and check validation output; fill it in w/o errors and submit the metadata

  • pick a record-based data type (e.g. clinical or biospecimen data type) w/ pre-existing manifest; generate a template; fill it in with intensional errors and omissions and check validation output; fill it in w/o errors and submit the metadata

As you are picking data types and datasets, please pick at random - i.e. not just the first ones :)

Do your best to test edge cases and break the system.

AC: report bugs (and if they are < 10 minute fix resolve them).
