How to build and install ONVIFMonitor binaries
==============================================
This projects uses CMake (see www.cmake.org). Make sure that cmake is properly installed.
------- build dependencies (optional) -------
You may want to use conan.io (https://conan.io/) to build the dependencies (Qt5, QtAV, libONVIF). This step is optional: You can build the dependencies via conan yourself (recommended for Windows) or obtain them using a package manager (like apt or yum).
To build the dependencies yourself you have to add two conan repositories first:
conan remote add tereius https://api.bintray.com/conan/tereius/public-conan
conan remote add bincrafters https://api.bintray.com/conan/bincrafters/public-conan
After that just run following command in the git root dir (where the conanfile.py is located):
conan install ./ -s build_type=Debug --build missing
------- build app -------
Create a (build) directory (preferably outside the git root dir). To compile the app the minimal project setup for "Unix Makefiles" would be:
cd <build_dir>
cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Debug <git_root_dir>
cmake --build ./
cmake --build ./ --target install
If CMake is missing a dependency you have to set the variable (pointing to a path) manually e.g. for Qt5:
cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" -Qt5_DIR:PATH="/usr/lib/cmake/Qt5" <git_root_dir>
To print the relevant variables you may want to change use:
cd <git_root_dir>
cmake -LH
For Windows use a CMake generator like "NMake Makefiles" or "Visual Studio [...]" e.g.:
cd <build_dir>
cmake -G "NMake Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Debug <git_root_dir>
cmake --build ./
cmake --build ./ --target install
