Popover component alignment

I would like to clarify a question about the Nimbus popover component.

When the popover is positioned in relation to an element that is far down the screen, it ends up moving up to fully appear on the screen. Example:

After scrolling the page, the popover aligns as expected.

popover.comprovante.de.estorno.mov

Could you please let me know if this is the expected behavior of the component?
If the answer is yes, is there any way to work around this behavior and keep the popover fixed?
