ASC has provided content warning language that we have modified to fit the DLS UMedia collection scope. The next step is to determine where this warning should go on UMedia. Lots of talk in cultural heritage/digital collections field about this. What are our limits and capabilities? Placement ideas:

  • Content warning appears at the object level (text is directly adjacent to the object, probably via metadata?)
  • Content warning (and perhaps university land acknowledgement) appears at point of entry for any new users. Example of this happening with a land acknowledgement: https://collection.sl.nsw.gov.au/intro-modal
