System information from steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) in a gist:
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Are you using the latest stable video driver available for your system? Yes
Have you verified the game files?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When on the current Steam client beta, launching Dota 2 and opening the settings at any time, or attempting to use the microphone at any time, will cause Steam to crash and Dota 2 will immediately stop responding as well.
Launching with -safe seems to force Steam to immediately restart, and Steam will think that Dota 2 is already running despite this not being the case.
The only relevant line of output when running steam in a terminal seems to be this: .local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 906: 16393 Segmentation fault (core dumped) "$STEAMROOT/$STEAMEXEPATH" "$@"
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Use Current Steam Client Beta
Launch Dota 2
Open Settings within Dota 2
Can be fixed by changing Steam Client to non-beta version. Problem still exists when re-opting into beta.
