Describe the bug

Changing the display count in the companion app has no effect. It stays on one display connected.

  1. System Tray --> Companian App --> Configure --> Select a different display count
  2. Nothing happens

Expected behavior

The connected virtual displays should be set accordingly.

It gets even weirder, when selecting 5 or more it works, but clicking on 2-4 does nothing. Also going back from 5 to 2 does not work.
Here is my log file:
log_2025-01-06.txt

The display count message only appers for 5 displays. The behaviour when clicking on 2 can be seen right at the beginning of the log file. It just starts again with client connected.

One additional minor thing i noticed: the tick next to the selected display count is also not updated. When it adds 5 the tick stays on 1. Only after restarting the companion app, the tick is correctly set. But now it's stuck on 5. When switching back to 1 display the tick stays on 5.
