One of the biggest problems with PlantUML is arranging objects on the canvas, on larger diagrams it is hard to predict what changes will happen when a left/right/up/down arrangement tag is added and how it will reshuffle the objects.
It would be amazing if you could select an object and then press the direction keys, have the screen redraw to see the results. It doesn't have to be an explicit arrangement tool or WYSIWYG but it would be helpful to have something to help test placements quickly. After finding a suitable arrangement the tool could return a diff of the arrangement tags to update the puml with or an updated puml to save.
Just an idea to make this good tool indispensable.

Thank you for the suggestion. We understand your pain in PlantUML.
We need contributions to implement the feature because it seems to require a lot of effort.
