Did the initial repository have a License? I don't see one here. What do you think about the Hippocratic License? It provides similar freedoms to the MIT License except the license is invalidated if the code is used for anything against the UN Human Rights declaration.
Admittedly, the chances of this code being used for human rights violations is slim to none. But it would help normalize using the license for other projects, which would be a good thing to do.
At the very least, there should be a license for this repository, even if only to tell people what they can do with the code.

See https://github.com/WillNilges/fpscli/blob/master/linux/COPYING for what came in the original source file (I broke it out into its own file for my own readability).

I don't care what you use this for. It's intended to be educational, and perhaps
to the oddly minded - a little bit of fun. Please hack this, change it and use it
in any way you see fit. BUT, you acknowledge that I am not responsible for anything
bad that happens as a result of your actions. However, if good stuff happens, I
would appreciate a shout out, or at least give the blog some publicity for me.
Cheers!

I think that if we opened an issue on the original repo asking him to name a specific license, that'd be cool.
