After choosing the image it'd be great to be able to customize the field of view before applying it.
Samsung does it great natively when setting a wallpaper via the gallery. You can pinch-zoom and align the image to your liking before applying.

This will be the next feature. I actually already have some working stuff locally :).

I was going to start the same issue but I saw you already did it. It's theain feature missing, having to search a 2019 picture and crop it is very tedious
