Hello,
I am receiving the following error with correctly specified pin:

pi@raspberrypi:~/pir_hdmi $ sudo python pirhdmi.py -p11 [E] Failed to power on HDMI with preferred settings [E] Failed to power on HDMI with preferred settings [E] Failed to power on HDMI with preferred settings

Do you have suggestions on what is going on?
Current monitor status is ON when running the script. Is something else needed to be done to make the monitor sleep first?

Test, if you can power on TV directly from the console.
Run: sudo /opt/vc/bin/tvservice --preferred

I get the same message
Failed to power on HDMI with preferred settings

To turn display off, am I supposed to use monitor energy settings, or is power-save supposed to be part of this script/service function?
Right now it is set to energy save mode where it turns off if not being used... I only turned that on because I noticed the display was not turning off only with use of your service.

I followed all instructions as per the install. When screen 'wakes' nothing is displayed, but I know that the PIR has worked. I have to go on via VNC and shake the mouse to get display to come on. Any ideas?
