WP 3.8. Just installed this plugin. I have one video in S3 that I can see in the plugin video list and get the embed code/short code for. When I add the short code to the post the player does not display (only see white space) and when I go back to the plugin and try to view the video I cannot do that either - get an error message Forbidden. I have updated the file to Full Control for all users just to see if that would fix this, but it did not

thanks,

Bill

HI Bill, Can you tell me what browser you are using and what player? I will see if I can replicate the issue.

Hi Anthony,
The browser is Firefox for Max (26.0), I am not sure about the player as I have not installed one. I am using a theme, Magazine Premium, where I simply am able to paste in the link to the video directly from S3 and it works fine, but if I try to do the same using the plugin, I have no success. I can do a quick video for you and put it on YouTube so you can see what's happening if that would help.

Hi Bill,
If you haven't changed the player you will be using flowplayer. If the video is playing fine with a direct link but not in the player a common problem is the aspect ratio of the video and the dimensions of the video. i.e if the video does not have aspect ratio to scale into the player it shows nothing. Do you know what the dimensions of the video are?

I wouldn't worry about creating a video just yet, I am confident if the player size is tweaked to match the aspect ratio of the video you should be fine.

Cheers

Hi Bill,
Just took a look at the player default dimensions and these are set to 530 x 330 which wont scale nicely for your video i.e 1280 / 530 = 2.415 & 720/ 330 = 2.18. Can you please try going into the settings page of the plugin and changing the default player width and height to 640 x 360 hit save and then try your video again? The video should hopefully play as the player can scale to the video dimensions.

Cheers

Anthony
