Dominik created a PR for 10.0.0 examples
- it's failing on jenkins ci
Community members leaving Apache KIE technology for an alternative
- we don't have resources enough to be in all channels
- relates to 10.0.0 examples being asked
- google group sunset
- @porcelli suggested that this redirect to Apache users ML should be incremental and organic
- @gitgabrio suggestion to automatically provide a reply to redirect to new ML
- @tiagobento suggest to answer in new ML, and provide links to answer in google groups
- @Rikkola not only us replying on the ML, there are many members of community that interact there, not only committers
- @porcelli concerned that we are discussing too much, and acting less
- @gitgabrio expressed that we came from a single company/etc... and this was easier. now completely split became hard, discussions are not focused, etc
Conversation progressed to a discussion about how to get things done, the importance of clear problem statement and how we can't get stuck with opinions
- @Rikkola mentioned that there was a time that community was strong, and the way it worked is that it was driven by doers, so who was up to execute... would just do it.
- @porcelli mentioned that this is more or less on Apache way, a proposal is offered and it's discussed... but ultimately should be focused on execution and less about opinions
- @gitgabrio concerned and asked to get people writing proposal should try to get it clear what's about.
