My goal is to display the current playing mpd track in the widget.

Like described in #47, there was a giant space / padding between the awesome widget and others. My workaround was to specify the width in the settings, but now there again is some padding on short track titles and long track titles overlap the neighbour widgets.

Any chance this can be fixed?

I will try to play with it a bit. Meanwhile have you tried to change (increase) widget width?
