Mozilla XR experimental browser supports ARKit and ARCore. I was able to start the staging room AR example and see that the floor positioning was correct despite the pass through camera not being displayed. I suppose being able to support the XR Viewer (via the XR polyfill or not) might be feasible and provide easier support for iOS (namely not having to build the WebARonARKit but using e.g. TestFlight).
