Have noticed that the submenus don’t close when the called menu item exits

I checked all home menu styles:

The submenu is "broken" in those
Clean and minimal
Modern Multi-Widgets
Vertical Multi-Widgets
Modern Multi-Widgets Netflix
Vertical Multi-Widgets Netflix

and works right with those styles:
Classic
Vertical
Featured
Modern
