We began discussing User Stories in our Discord channel so I am creating this thread to keep things easily found in the future. Thank you again for all of the effort thus far!

Hi Amanda. a user story is what a user does with our app. why do they use it. told from a user's perspective. i just learned about this approach from a product development book and chingu's agile approach. For instance, [user story1] as a user (you can pick type of personality) i want to keep track of my weekly meeting times and agendas. [user story2] As a user, I want to receive reminders or notifications for approaching task deadlines, so that I can stay on top of my schedule and complete tasks on time. [user story3] As a user, I want to be able to view and organize my tasks by category and priority, so that I can easily identify and focus on what needs immediate attention. Then we can rate them and the most important one becomes our MVP. The rest of the features will be a wish to, do if we have time. This way we design a product that meets the needs of a type of user. i thought it sounded like a neat approach.
and when i approached my solo project with this approach, i found i focused on one feature at a time, the MVP. Then if i had time i added the second most important. I can tell you, my early projects were all over the place with feature after feature after feature at the same time....and that became overwhelming at times. Now i'm finding it goes smoother when the focus is on the most important feature, the MVP. then add additional ones later. last week i got caught just coding and coding on a small project, and kept adding one thing after another until i stopped to think about the most important features. that helped. i like this visual...
