Maybe, I could be wrong, just an idea. I did not try that out before, just a quick idea. |

Checked it - it's a 1to1 relationship. 1 Document can be owned by 1 owner only. |

Ah you are so right, I did look at the wrong setting. You can add multiple users to read and write for a document, but just one owner. |

Thanks for the follow up and initial suggestion - too bad it looks like only one owner per document. Not sure how difficult it would be to add multi-user support but that would be a very welcome addition for families (I have several boys with their own accounts). And also: huge thank you for taking the time to make this and share with the community! |

I will transform this into an idea in the discussion section. Really appreciate your word, that keeps me motivated and grateful. |

Just to add: I think ideally, paperless-ai should allow to create a second user in the paperless-ai service, and then that second user can configure paperless-ai individually, e.g. use another prompt that user1, and connect their own paperless-ngx account. This would allow true user-management in paperless-ai and paperless-ngx. |

Maybe it's an option to NOT use the user management in paperless-ai. Maybe it's possible to reuse the already existing users in paperless-ngx? Kind of SSO :-) |

It appears Paperless-AI supports one Paperless-NGX user for document parsing at a time. It would be really helpful to have the option to designate multiple Paperless users in the settings.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to see an option to configure multi-user support in Paperless-AI, allowing the input of multiple users at once. This way, documents can be automatically parsed, categorized, and organized for each user individually, streamlining the process for managing documents in a multi-user setup.
Describe alternatives you've considered
One possibility is setting up separate instances of Paperless-AI for each user, but this adds unnecessary complexity and management overhead.
Additional context
Multi-user support would enhance the usability of Paperless-AI in environments where multiple users need to have their documents processed, such as in households and teams.
