Hello @mertf and thank you for raising the alarm 💪 Could you please share a link to the announcement? I would expect the Crabada team to target looting bots first, for these reasons:
That said, if the Crabada team wanted to target our bot, they could still do it in a number of ways. I am not yet convinced they really intend to do so, though. Cheers, |

@coccoinomane It was announced during the last AMA on Discord. There will be Terms of Service created, and all botting crabs will be rendered useless. Thread on Discord: https://discord.com/channels/879581889143386152/958663901845782578/983376285197819964 |

Thank you for the link @Mrooie. You saved me from looking :) They are pretty clear about all botting activity except the ones that collect data. How could we fly under the radar given the circumstances? Otherwise, we are all risking our crabs to be useless once we get blacklisted. What is the main difference between a human manually clicking on the "Start mine" button vs. using a harmless bot such as crabada.py? How could the dev team determine who is using a bot or not? If they were to examine the regularity between each mine in regards to the start and stop times, we could set a time range where it would randomly start and stop the mines in order to create irregularity. What are other ways to be marked as a bot? |

Hi!
When I’m using Crabada.py, the main visible difference is the speed of each transaction. Bot can close over 30 mines in a minute, while using Metamask is really slow, takes ages. ;)
Usually, also the regularity of clicks is measured to determine botting, but that’s an easy fix.

I agree with you. I would be surprised if they targeted Crabada.py; if I were them, I would prioritize hunting mining & looting bots in the Battle Game, and looting bots in the idle game.
If they were to examine the regularity between each mine in regards to the start and stop times, we could set a time range where it would randomly start and stop the mines in order to create irregularity.
Yes, we could do that, but I would prefer to wait for the new Terms of Service to come out.

I think the biggest red flag would be the user agent, which is currently hard-coded in the Web2 client. We will probably need to either randomize it or turn it into a variable.
But, as I said above, I would rather wait for more clarity from the team before making these adjustments, because they might not be needed.

I have pushed a couple of commits in view of potential anti-bot changes to Crabada's Terms of Service. Please let me know if you have more ideas for a fuller compliance 🙂 Randomize sleep timesIt is now possible to randomly vary sleep times for the For example, if you set Customize user-agentYou can now specify a custom user-agent via the option I would recommend using your "true" user-agent, which you can find by searching "my user agent" on Google (https://www.google.com/search?q=my+user+agent). Otherwise, leave it blank to use a default user-agent, but be aware that it could be used to identify users of Crabada.py. |

Hello @mertf , The feedback you got was for the battle game or idle? As far as I know, we can capture the requests and replicate the structure... Not sure how those bot detectors will work. |

Hi @mertf and @isidororeyes, and thank you for the updates! I think contract-only means that there's no captcha anymore for idle game. Anyway, from my tests the bot has been running idle game flawlessy for the last couple of months... let's see how long it will last :-) |

Hi there, To add more color to the topic. In the battle game devs implemented a new algorithm in the creation of the mine and loot API calls. Idle and rest of the API requests are still working fine. |

This is probably now in question with the upcoming TOS that includes blacklisting the crabs that is used by bots in both idle and the battle game. Unless I misunderstood, once a crab is blacklisted, we won't be able to put that crab on the marketplace. How could the dev team determine our crabs are being used by the bot? Otherwise, it looks like we should stop using the bot in order not to get blacklisted.
