The Chinese Lunar Calendar, vital for calculating Chinese public holidays such as Chinese New Year (1st month, 1st day), Dragon Boat Festival (5th month, 5th day) and Mid-Autumn Festival (8th month, 15th day). Occasionally it drifts too far from the solar calendar so is adjusted by the addition of a leap-month. A few years ago they added an additional 7th month so that Chinese valentines day (Qixi which occurs on 7th month, 7th day) occurred twice, one month apart.
