It might make sense to guide users with the role translator directly to the side-by-side view, where they can then change and update translations if necessary.
Proposed Solution
When a user with the role "translator" clicks on the title of a page, he/she should land on the side-by-side view of that page, NOT on the editor.
Alternatives
Not implement and keep it, as it is. That means users with the role "translator" can access the editor and make changes in their language and change to the German page in the editor (without being able to make changes there).
User Story
As a user with the role translator I want to see the side by side view directly to make my workflow more straightforward and easier to follow.
