I am able to download the theme, however, it is not recognized (greyed out) by the macOS App Store version of the Telegram App and cannot be installed.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the App Store version is written in Swift - as far as I know. I'm guessing here, but that might present limitations for theme customisation.

In any case, if you add the iOS version of this theme to the iPhone or iPad app, you can later select it in the macOS version, though there's quite a bit of styling missing.
